Kenwood Cmos-200 Rear View Reverse Camera
I love tweaking my cars, and it became a hobby of mine when I got my first car a decade ago. Back then, I was limited to upgrading my rims and body paint only because I did not have enough money to make my car look like one of the cars in the Fast and Furious series. Over the years of trying out every modification I could get my hands on, I decided to stick to a few gadgets which I now consider as important necessities in my car. One of the gadgets that I am talking about is the Kenwood Cmos-200 Rear View Camera.
Unfortunately for me, I am terrible at parking or driving in reverse because my peripheral view from the rear view mirror was limited, combined with near-sightedness. The Kenwood Cmos-200 Rear View Camera was able to provide me with the best remedy for both problems. First, this reversing camera is compatible with any Kenwood in-dash monitors, but the RCA plug extension cable makes it compatible with any brand of mobile video monitor. Like the Pioneer reversing camera, the Kenwood Cmos-200 Rear View Camera is built with a waterproof aluminium casing, so you can definitely mount the camera outside the car.
Let us take a look at the CMOS optics of the Kenwood Cmos-200 Rear View Camera. It has a ¼” colour CMOS image sensor with 310,000 pixels to deliver high quality images. The reversing camera also comes equipped with a wide angle lens with 105 degree vertical and 135 degree horizontal swing. The angles will guarantee a clear peripheral view of anything that is behind your car. For lighting concerns, the Kenwood Cmos-200 Rear View Camera can see in low lit areas with illumination as low as 0.9 lux. The camera does not have any problem in direct or bright lights, with illumination as high as 100,000 lux.
The mounting of the Kenwood Cmos-200 Rear View Camera is unlike its competitors. Apart from the adhesive, the camera is also supplied with metal mounting brackets which attach to the camera. You can secure the mount with two supplied machine screws, or with the adhesive. The mount can also be adjusted to your preference after it has been installed. I never had any problems so far with the Kenwood Cmos-200 Rear View Camera, and it is certainly one of the best investments I have ever made for my car.
